Sometimes you just need to visualize things in order to make sense of them. Everyone's favorite web search engine Google has a program which can do just that, it's called Google Sketchup.
I first learned of Google's sketchup some 3 years ago while at a previous position when I needed to create a floor plan of our office space and quickly - it was time for musical chairs/offices at the company. With a little playing around, I was able to quickly adapt to the program and create my desired results within a short time frame. The result? A very happy employer.
In order to demonstrate just exactly what we are talking about here, I created my own visual 3D image of Arranging Order's home and workspace. Check it out below! (Click on the image to view it larger). And if you want to create your own sketchup - head on over here.

Graduate students in the Interior Design program at the college where I work use this program for every project. In fact, I have heard that many professionals in the Interior Design field also use this program. It is fabulous that you don't have to have a design degree to design spaces on your own!
